INDUSTRIES SERVED / ENGINEERED ROD SUPPLY
CNC & Swiss Machining
Consistent bar-feed performance begins with the right starting stock.
Precision Rod Purchasing for CNC & Swiss Machining
In cnc & swiss machining, buyers often begin with a part drawing but also need round stock ordered in a practical form for machining. Our focus is material identification, finished outside diameter, tolerance, required bar or cut length, inspection and realistic supply/processing feasibility.
Materials Frequently Evaluated
Examples of grades buyers may evaluate include 303 Stainless Steel, 316 Stainless Steel, 12L14 Carbon Steel, 1215 Carbon Steel, 2011 Aluminum. These are references for discussing a material requirement, not a suggestion that the alloys are interchangeable or stocked in every diameter.
Key Technical and Quality Requirements
Diameter consistency, length and bar straightness are usually specified together; guide-bushing compatibility and finish should be established for the actual machine and process.
- Grade and condition: complete UNS/SAE/ASTM/AMS or project specification, heat-treatment state and material test report requirements.
- Geometry: finished OD and upper/lower limits, length tolerance, straightness with measurement support span and roundness where necessary.
- Surface and inspection: roughness, appearance or specialized tests under a documented acceptance method.
- Production: bar or cut-piece quantity, release schedule, customer-supplied versus purchased stock and delivery needs.
Typical Component Types
Turned pins, fittings, valve details, bushings, threaded parts and precision hardware.
Industry Qualification and Application Limits
Do not claim every ground rod is Swiss-ready: guide bushings and feeder supports vary by machine, and nominal size alone is insufficient.
